with North African roots, Auret grew up in a household with high academic values, where lawyer, doctor or engineer were the approved careers of choice…‘singer’ was not an option. Constantly feeling a massive void, she knew she had to make a choice between continuing to live up to expectations or disturbing the status quo to pursue something she felt so deeply connected with.

“I realized I was living a scripted life to make others happy. It was not an easy decision…in fact, it was TERRIFYING. But my whole life would be a lie if I didn’t try.”

Since making the decision to pursue her music career, Auret has written and released album ‘I Am’ and a 4 song EP entitled “Stills of Me”, receiving both local and international media attention with SHAW TV airing her “Precious Moments” music video to “Cleopatra” being featured in an Egyptian luxury decor commercial.  

Auret also co-founded Essetino Artists to help creative entrepreneurs grow their own passion projects by committing to personal growth and daring to be Dream Driven.

Among her lively stage performances, Auret opened for Mos Def aka Yasiin Bey and has toured across Canada with her ‘Cleopatra’ EP. She has since won the Director’s Award for songwriting in Nashville, worked with award winning engineer and producer Jamie Kuse, producer Jimi Dali (Swollen Members) and other talented names in the industry to refine her sound.

Auret continues to turn up the edge with her ROCK n’ ROAR message – inspiring her audience to be resilient in a world filled with noise, to live out what they love and to do it LOUDLY.
